Tina Koneazny

Tina Koneazny is Associate Director at the Joint Educational Project (JEP) at the University of Southern California, where she has worked for the past 20 years. A former elementary teacher from the Milwaukee Public School District, Tina he holds a B.A. In Education from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, and a M.S. In Education from USC's Rossier School of Education with special focus in Literacy Learning and Instruction. 
 
Tina has created original curriculum for the following outreach programs: Youth Impact Program (literacy and math curriculum for middle school boys designed around football); WonderKids (STEM curriculum for 1st – 3rd grade students); and Little Yoginis (curriculum combining literacy and yoga around such themes as kindness, contentment and non-violence). She also serves on the Advisory Board of the United Voices of Literacy, a non-profit organization dedicated to children’s literacy and oral reading development.
 
Tina is an avid runner, yogi and reader. She is happy to be sharing Little Yoginis at the LA Times Festival of Books.
