Paulina López

Paulina Lopez-Velazquez was born in Oaxaca, Mexico where she spent the first 12 years of her life. In 1994, her father decided to move her entire family to Los Angeles after opening the now-iconic Guelaguetza Restaurant in Koreatown. She is currently the CFO of the family business. In 2015, Paulina co-founded "Super Mamas Podcast" a judgment- free space where new, experienced and expecting mothers can come together to not only exchange knowledge but provide support for one another during the emotional ups and downs of motherhood. Paulina currently sits on the Board of Directors of City Charter Schools, a Los Angeles Based School organization that promotes diversity, culture and bilingualism. Paulina has also received different awards and recognitions for her work with woman and businesses in the community like the 2017 "Woman of the Year" Award, given by the California State Assembly and the Legislative Women's Caucus. Her passions include immigration rights, bilingualism, culture awareness and girls and women's education.
