Julia Boyd

Born in 1948, Julia Boyd worked in London's Victoria & Albert Museum before marriage took her to a series of diplomatic posts including Bonn, New York, Hong Kong and finally Tokyo, where her husband John was British Ambassador. There followed ten years in Cambridge, where John was Master of Churchill College. Julia is a former trustee of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, a former governor of the English Speaking Union, currently a trustee of Wigmore Hall (London's premier chamber music venue) and is heavily involved with the Cambridge University Library. She lives in London but spends as much time as possible hill-walking in the English Lake District.
