Janet Cerda

Janet Cerda investigates the biliteracy development of immigrant children and youth over time and examines assessment practices that document K-12 multilingual and multicultural teaching and learning. She was a New York City bilingual teacher for 6 years.  In Los Angeles, she worked with the UCLA Community School to expand their bilingual program to the secondary grades. She worked with the Social and Public Art Resource Center to support bilingual programing and parent workshops sponsored by Californians Together.
