Abby Geni is the Chicago-based author of "The Lightkeepers," winner of the 2016 Barnes & Noble Discover Award and the inaugural Chicago Review of Books Awards, and "The Last Animal," an Indies Introduce Debut Writers Selection and finalist for the Orion Book Award. Her latest novel, "The Wildlands," was named one of the best books of 2018 by Kirkus, Real Simple, and Buzzfeed. Geni is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, a recipient of the Iowa Fellowship, and a core faculty member at StoryStudio Chicago.
