What began with Jeff Bridges racing a light cycle against simulations on a game grid in the iconic film, Tron, has evolved into a multi-billion dollar industry, with leagues of superstar teams and sold-out arenas around the world. In this session, Mike Bonifer, the founder of bigSTORY, will be joined by Jerry Rees, an animator on Tron who now is an Executive Research & Development Imagineer at Disney, and another special guest, to look at how and why the game grid has evolved, the effects of multiplayer gaming and immersive storytelling on the entertainment business, and how eSports will influence the future of work in a networked world.
